Director Mike Behm presented informational revisions to the Statewide Transportation Improvement Program (STIP) and asked the Commission to release the tentative 2027–2030 STIP to the public for comment. The staff called out REV 26‑SC‑017, which changed a Hill City local structure project from a structure replacement to structure removal and reduced the FY2026 allocation from $1,350,000 to $500,000 (a $850,000 decrease).
Following presentations, Commissioner Don Roby moved and Commissioner Lynn Jensen seconded a motion to release the proposed 2027–2030 STIP to the public for comment. The motion carried with all present voting aye. The Department said staff have begun coordination meetings with planning districts and local governments to discuss the tentative STIP prior to the public comment period.
