Early in the meeting the commission approved the minutes from the April 24 agenda meeting after a motion and second. The Chair then introduced the CLG presentation, and the commission spent the remainder of the session on orientation, survey planning and outreach. Members asked for printed brochures and discussed giving out 15–20 copies to educate homeowners about designation benefits; a commission member said they would like the brochures available at the next meeting.
Before adjourning the commission agreed to schedule another session with the Texas Historical Commission later in the fall to dive deeper into survey and design-review topics. The meeting closed after a motion to adjourn was seconded and the vote passed. No policy or appropriation votes were taken beyond the procedural approvals.
