The South Dakota Transportation Commission met June 11, 2026, in Pierre and approved the May 28, 2026 meeting minutes before considering results from a June 3 bid letting presented by Sam Weisgram of the DOT Office of Project Development. Commissioners present voted unanimously to approve the minutes and a set of contract awards.
Weisgram presented multiple low bids and recommended awards. Commissioners approved contracts for grading and PCC sidewalks in Pennington County (Tru-Form Construction, $311,541.00), lighting modifications in Deadwood (Solar Sound Corporation, $71,808.06), and durable pavement markings on I-90 in Jackson and Jones counties (Contractor Services, Inc., $219,643.75). The motions to approve those bids (#1, #3 and #6) were made by Commissioner Lynn Jensen, seconded by Commissioner Ron Rosenboom, and carried on a roll-call vote with all present voting aye. The meeting adjourned at 9:12 a.m. CT.
