Brookings County commissioners voted Feb. 17 to approve Agreement #26-19, reaffirming membership in the South Dakota Public Assurance Alliance, and Agreement #26-20, a three‑year service agreement with Trane U.S., Inc. for maintenance at the Brookings County Outdoor Adventure Center. Both motions passed on unanimous roll calls and Chairperson Shawn Hostler was authorized to sign the documents.
Doug Post moved to approve the intergovernmental membership agreement and Larry Jensen seconded; Post later moved approval of the Trane contract with Jensen seconding the motion. BCOAC Director Joseph Salvati provided the background information for the Trane agreement during the meeting. The board’s action formalizes the county’s risk‑pool membership and secures contracted HVAC services for the county facility.
