An airport representative said the closure and relocation period is expected to last roughly 3.5 to 4 months and that staff previously used a similar approach during past runway reconstruction. The representative noted prior waiver costs approached $15,000 in a longer project but that the current project is expected to be less expensive because fewer tenants have applied for waivers so far. Council approved the resolution 8–0.
The resolution instructs staff to coordinate relocation logistics and to report costs as they materialize.
