The commission opened bids for county materials and services and authorized department staff to review and proceed to award. Road supervisor Daniel Luke and county staff will review Peak Asphalt's bid lines (examples: 600 tons at $610/ton including freight; other mixes at $460/ton and $400/ton) for road-material purchases.
For landfill scrap-metal removal, staff reported a single bid from Stevenson (also spelled "Stephenson" in the bid readout) Metal Recycling at $76 per ton inclusive of equipment removal and cleanup; the commission authorized staff and the road supervisor to verify specifications and award the contract. Motions to accept and review the bids were made, seconded and passed.
