At the start of the Feb. 1 meeting the committee approved minutes from Jan. 13 and Jan. 28 after a motion and second. Later in the meeting finance staff presented regular monthly submissions (budget transfers/amendments, purchase orders, and tax corrections under $2,500) and the committee approved those reports.
The committee approved a $250,000 transfer for assigned counsel that was presented as attached to the agenda; the motion was moved, seconded and carried. Members also approved a number of other departmental transfers (Sheriff equipment/countertop rollover and the Hornell Senior Center unmet-need-to-expense transfer) that were handled during department requests.
A member asked about a corrective-action plan deadline; staff said the deadline is the end of March and will provide plans (including IT items) weeks in advance for committee review. The meeting then adjourned.
