Teton County to send support letter for WY HWY26 wildlife crossings

Chris Colligan, Public Works Project Manager, presented a draft letter for Board consideration supporting Wyoming HWY26 wildlife crossing projects and recommending the county send it to the U.S. Department of Transportation. Commissioner Luther Propst moved to approve the letter and Commissioner Len Carlman seconded. The Board approved the letter with an amendment to also cc the Fremont County Board of Commissioners; the minutes record the vote as all in favor, 3-0.
The motion authorizes the Chair's office to transmit the letter dated Feb. 9, 2026, to USDOT. The minutes do not attach the full letter text in the body of the minutes; they do record the Board’s direction to add Fremont County to the cc list before sending.
