Council approves retiree gifts, orders 30-day notice for unpaid rental invoice, updates vendor permit requirements and schedules street sealing

City Clerk Christina Redger requested $250 gift cards for recent retirees Janet Gleason and Kevin Larrabee; Council approved the gifts on a motion by Lance DeLissa and second by Roberto Holguin. Redger also presented an outstanding rental invoice and Council directed her to send a 30-day certified-mail notice; if the requirements are not met within 30 days the individual will be evicted and locks changed.
Redger presented updated vendor permit applications and said vendors will be required to pass a background check; Council requested the application be updated to include the physical location/address of food trucks or trailers where applicable. Cordes presented plans to seal streets on the northwest side of town: sweeping and cleaning will begin next week and sealing will start July 27 (the week after the fair). Council President Lance DeLissa also reminded staff to notify the hangar door manufacturer about added weight from spray-foam on new hangars.
