Council adopts updated UPOC and STO (Ordinances 934 and 935)
Summary

City Clerk Christina Redger presented two ordinances updating local enforcement codes: Ordinance No. 934 incorporates the 42nd Edition (2026) of the Uniform Public Offense Code for Kansas cities as modified by the City of Meade, and Ordinance No. 935 incorporates the 53rd Edition (2026) of the Standard Traffic Ordinance for Kansas cities as modified by the City of Meade.
A motion by Council President Lance DeLissa, seconded by Council member George Lucas, approved Ordinance Nos. 934 and 935; the motion carried with all in favor. These ordinances update local statutory references and traffic rules used by local law enforcement under the City's modifying language.
