City Administrator Dean Cordes reported that a third party filed a NOTAM indicating the airport runway lights were not working. The airport manager reviewed the situation and confirmed the runway lights are on continuously; the airport manager added a NOTAM clarifying that the lights are on and Cordes said the issue appears to be with the radio signal test used to bright/dim the lights.
Cordes also reported that the PAPI (Precision Approach Path Indicator) lights on the north end of the field were not working. Council suggested contacting EBH Engineering to help find a qualified service company to diagnose and repair the radio control or the PAPI lights; Cordes will follow up with the airport manager to secure service and report back to Council.
