Peterson said the shelter served 56 adult caregivers, 107 children and 12 pets through residential services in fiscal year 2025, and provided non‑residential support to an additional 59 people. She listed funding sources including VOCA and HHSC grants and community grants from organizations such as HEB and James Avery for program and project support. "Your funding that we received the other day was an incredible gift, and it's greatly appreciated," Peterson said. Commissioners thanked Peterson, noted the nonprofit's filings were current, and welcomed the new leadership.
