City public works outlines dog park, ADA path, tree work and security cameras

Jackson Dumanch, Public Works Operations Manager, updated the board on park projects and small capital work. He reported the Gateway Park and Mobility Hub dog park fencing is installed and crews are filling gaps under the fence; the dog-park drinking fountain (with dog bowl), park rule signage and waste-bag dispensers are on order and expected to be in place by June 30. Jackson also said split-rail fencing will be installed around the Sisters Community Labyrinth and that bench and roof repairs at Buck Run Park and Village Green are complete or scheduled.
Jackson said the Village Green ADA path is partly poured with the first pour done and a second scheduled, with the work expected to be open to pedestrian traffic and in place by Memorial Day to improve access to veterans’ memorials. He also noted a tree-assessment report for Creekside Campground identifying high-hazard trees will go to the urban forestry board for review, and that security cameras will be installed at the Gateway Park and Mobility Hub after prior camera installations at City Hall and the Public Works facility.
