Community Services clears resolutions on mental-health month and opioid-settlement contract, reports EVA guidance

Lisa Principio, Community Services, reviewed program updates and resolutions on April 6. The committee discussed and raised no objections to forwarding resolutions including recognizing May as Mental Health Awareness Month, authorizing creation of a full-time Adult Transitional Case Manager (SPOA) position, and authorizing the Legislature Chair to sign a contract with the Yates County Sheriff's Office for opioid-settlement prevention/treatment/recovery/harm-reduction work.
Principio reported the department received guidance on Enhanced Voluntary Agreements (EVA) and is conducting an audit related to the opioid settlement funds; staff resubmitted documentation last week and await further instructions from auditors. The committee accepted the report as information.
