Porter Fire Chief reports 29 calls in July; mutual aid agreement with Haskell proposed

Fire Chief Adam Springsted reported to the Board that the Porter Fire Department responded to 29 calls in July: 21 medical calls, two motor vehicle accidents, four brush fires and two structure fires. He said the department used 5,600 gallons of water during the month.
Chief Springsted said Haskell has expressed interest in signing a Mutual Aid Agreement with Porter; Springsted said he will draft an agreement and present it to the Board for approval. Mayor Dickey said Mutual Aid Agreements are beneficial.
