Alan Verghese introduced himself to the Recreation and Parks Advisory Committee, saying he has lived in Johns Creek for 26 years and has served on his neighborhood board. "So I'm Alan Verghese. I've I've lived in Johns Creek 26 years now," he told the committee and described moving to the Shake Rag neighborhood in 1998 and his background as an electrical engineer.
The Chair welcomed Verghese and asked him to contribute to upcoming park planning work. Verghese said he was invited to join RPAC after a call from Mayor John Bradbury and a follow-up from Councilmember Pam Sutton, and he expressed enthusiasm for continuing neighborhood leadership in a new role.
