Canby transit reports healthy ridership and reserves but flags $25,000 lease bill

Staff presented budget figures for fiscal year 2025–26 and described stronger-than-expected revenues that contributed to reserves of about $3.3 million. Todd said the agency recorded approximately $146,000 in interest revenue and that fare revenue for June was roughly $48,000; fiscal-year ridership was reported at 105,148, exceeding the 100,000 goal.
Todd also warned of a possible forthcoming charge: a landlord invoice and an increase in rent that together could total about $25,000 in maintenance and back taxes related to a transitional lease period. "He sent us a bill for the remaining maintenance expenses of about $13,000... the taxes then fall to us... So it ends up being about $25,000," Todd said; he said attorneys are reviewing the claim.
