Brown County commissioners approved a memorandum of understanding for construction of a shelter house at the Overlook with volunteer labor from the Brown County Woodworkers Club and crane assistance from the Beamery, contingent on receipt of the club members' signatures. Commissioner Kevin Patrick moved to approve the MOU contingent on signatures; the motion was seconded by Tim Clark and passed unanimously. Stephanie (staff) will prepare and finalize the MOU paperwork.
The packet materials note volunteer construction and equipment assistance; legal counsel will prepare the final MOU language. The approval authorizes staff to complete the agreement only after the volunteer group and Beamery sign the document, and assigns follow-up to the Commissioners' administrative staff.
