Porter Board Approves Town Hall Renovation Bids and Begins Broader Beautification Work

The board also discussed a streetscape plan that includes purchasing 19 light posts for Main Street, brackets for 25 existing poles for flags or banners, and selling dedication benches for $545 each with town-supplied plaques. Rather than commit to full procurement immediately, the board approved buying a single light post as a test and appointed Melanie Merritt, Norma Meyer, and Ava Hall to the Town of Porter Beautification Project Committee to oversee purchases and placement.
