Board OKs abolishing G‑13 mechanic position; HR says duties will move to vendor

Lee said that, if the resolution is adopted, the abolishment would be effective June 30, 2026, and expected to reduce ongoing personnel costs including salary and benefits. The board moved, seconded and adopted the resolution by roll call; staff said management will plan vendor arrangements to carry the operational responsibilities previously handled by the position.
