Commissioner Mark E. Bolduc told the board SIRCOMM voted to give a 4% wage increase this year. Commissioner Ronald Buhler said call volume has decreased and Prosecuting Attorney Misseldine said crime appears to be down though he was unsure why.
On transportation matters Commissioner Buhler reported 36 fatalities this year compared with 35 last year and said the Jerome interchange is scheduled for completion by the end of November and the Burley overpass by the end of the year. Commissioner Bolduc also read a letter from Men’s Health Network requesting a week in June be designated Men’s Health Week, and he noted a new contact for the War Memorial Hall provided by Wayne Chandler.
