Subcommittees report: Pow Wow plans, constitution rewrite sessions and cybersecurity policy date set

Several Quapaw Nation subcommittees reported June 20: the Ogahpah Wisdom Keepers discussed Pow Wow planning; the Cultural Committee reviewed banners and fall gatherings; the Constitution Committee scheduled writing sessions for September 6–7; Cyber Security Committee set a July 1 computer usage policy effective date.
Subcommittees provided updates on recent activities and set dates for upcoming events and work sessions.
Ogahpah Wisdom Keepers (Grace Goodeagle) met June 4 and discussed the Pow Wow, a report to General Council, a trip to the First Americans Museum and a summer program; their next meeting is July 2. The Cultural Committee (Barbara Collier) reviewed letters of recommendation for crowns and shawls, a Red Oak update, two banners displayed in Quapaw and plans for a fall gathering. The Constitution Committee (Vance Gilmore) reported ongoing rewriting of the constitution preamble and scheduled a writing session on Sept. 6–7; it meets weekly on Tuesdays at 6:30 PM. The Cyber Security Committee (Mikel Whitecrow) set a July 1 effective date for a new computer usage policy.
