Ambulance district seeks state grant for command vehicle, radios and laptop; commissioners sign endorsement

Kepler said the current command vehicle "has over 100,000 miles on it" and that radios still need to be installed in the new ambulance. He said a state inspection that day would not pass because the radios were not yet installed. Commissioner Ronald Buhler moved to sign the letter of support; Commissioner Vern Eames seconded and the motion carried. Kepler also said Gooding Fire is no longer interested in purchasing the old ambulances and that he will check with county staff (Karl) about online auctioning for surplus vehicles and other county inventory.
The board recessed the Ambulance District and reconvened regular session after signing the endorsement; the grant requires no county match, according to Kepler.
