City to replace three camera archive servers now; cloud analysis requested for City Hall server

Chief Carruth reported that several archive camera servers used for storing and replaying video at Public Works, W.P. Jones and Bunten Road Park are at end-of-life and need replacement now; the City Hall server will reach end-of-life in January 2027.
Carruth provided cost estimates: $16,471 to replace the three expired servers now, and $30,018.86 to replace the City Hall server prior to January 2027. Council recommended staff perform a benefit analysis comparing cloud-hosted storage to physical servers. Staff will place the replacement and possible budget-amendment request on the next Council agenda.
