Becky presented the county’s employee-benefits review and PBC (public benefits cooperative) recommendations for 2026, saying medical trends continue to rise but the county’s insurance escrow remains strong enough to avoid rate changes for next year. She recommended no changes to insurance rates and asked the court for a motion to keep rates unchanged; the court moved and approved the recommendation.
Becky outlined operational changes intended to improve employee experience and administrative efficiency: the county will implement a new online enrollment platform (Celerix) so employees can enroll via link and staff can audit enrollments, and the county will transition voluntary ancillary products (short-term disability, cancer/hospital policies) to a group public offering. She also described a proposed clinical weight-management program that would require physician enrollment, progress milestones and program compliance before any GLP‑1 medication coverage is available. “I am very excited to say that we are gonna offer a clinical management program,” Becky said, noting estimated claim-savings if the program reduces downstream procedures and chronic conditions.
