Budget committee elects interim officers and discusses secretary role
Summary
At the July 27 Belgrade Budget Committee meeting members nominated and voted on committee officers (chair and vice chair) and solicited volunteers for secretary; the committee recorded abstentions during several voice votes and confirmed seating questions for alternates.
Bruce Galusha was nominated for committee chair and Jillian Riel for vice chair during the meeting called to order July 27. The chair opened nominations and members moved and seconded the names; at least one member abstained during the voice votes.
The committee also solicited volunteers for the secretary role. One member offered to serve temporarily for tonight, and there was discussion about whether volunteers could be confirmed and whether the role required additional administrative support. The chair asked for any further nominations and moved to the next agenda item after the slate was set.
