Council approves consent agenda including award for community energy plan

At its July 28 meeting the Hackensack City Council approved a consent agenda covering a range of routine administrative actions.
Items on the consent agenda included authorization for the payment of bills (Resolution 2-18-26); a 100% veteran tax deduction for 19 Jefferson Street, Apt C7 (Resolution 2-19-26); annual maintenance and support for the police department computer system with LawSoft (Resolution 2-21-26); a resolution requesting approval of revenue and appropriation for the NJ recycling tonnage grant; a correction to 2025 budget transfers; intent to award a contract under a national cooperative to purchase used pickup trucks with plows; escrow releases for 211 Essex Street and 375 Route 17; and Resolution 2-26-26 authorizing award of a contract to T M T and M Associates to prepare a community energy plan for the City of Hackensack.
The clerk reported that items requiring expenditure were supported by certifications of availability of funds and said items requiring discussion would be removed from the consent agenda. The council adopted the consent agenda on roll call with all recorded votes in favor.
