The Planning Department is administering a $300,000 Small Project Grant to the Village of Moravia as part of the village’s $2.25 million NY Forward award. Director Kari Terwilliger and Senior Planner Evan Tuthill said the county will implement the regrant program to support mixed-use and commercial property improvements in Moravia’s downtown.
Applications closed Sept. 12; staff received nine applications. A Project Selection Committee reviewed submissions on Sept. 29 and Oct. 6 to determine awards from the regrant fund. The county approved a resolution Oct. 22 authorizing the Planning Department to contract with New York State on behalf of the village to implement the fund.
