Board approves Expeditionary Learning English language arts curriculum for middle schools

The Lakeside Union Board voted to adopt the Expeditionary Learning English Language Arts curriculum for the district’s middle schools. The motion was carried unanimously, 5–0; Clerk Jim Bennett and Vice President Lara Hoefer Moir both commented in support of district Education Services for their work on the recommendation.
Trustees recorded appreciation to staff for the curriculum work. The Board noted the adoption during the pulled-items portion of the agenda and expressed thanks to Dr. Natalie Winspear and Education Services for their contribution to the curriculum approval process.
