Raymond said the house would be used intermittently for wedding parties and not as daily short‑term rentals; interior bedroom counts will not change. On circulation and parking, he said an existing gravel connector allows some internal circulation but most event traffic would use the main barn entrance. "The existing parking is... more than adequate for the number of guests," Raymond said, describing the arrangement as intermittent guest lodging tied to event days.
Neighbors and board members pressed the applicant about signage, lighting and post‑event noise. Several neighbors said the large rear deck on the property was a worry for late‑night gatherings; Raymond said amplified music would be turned off at 11 p.m. and that event curfews and property boundary noise limits would remain in effect. To reduce visibility and sound transmission the applicant proposed planting a double row of Norway spruce and understory plantings between properties; the board also reminded the applicant that any new or replacement sign must comply with size and lighting bylaws.
The board closed public testimony and staff said notices of decision had been drafted and would be issued soon. The board will deliberate the application and notify the applicant of the decision.
