Yachats schedules February work session and public hearing on vacation rentals and public art

The council announced a Feb. 4 work session on the vacation rental ordinance and a Feb. 18 public hearing on a public art ordinance; the State of the City and other community events were also calendared.
Councilor Catherine Whitten Carey listed several February events announced at the Jan. 21 meeting. The council will hold a work session on the vacation rental ordinance on Feb. 4 at 4:30 p.m., and the Feb. 18 council meeting will open a public hearing on a proposed public art ordinance at 1:00 p.m. Carey also announced the State of the City address for Feb. 10 at 4:30 p.m.
The recording included additional community events: visiting Tibetan monks Feb. 17–22, a basketball free-throw contest on Feb. 27, and a ribbon-cutting for the new Yachats library on Feb. 28. Carey encouraged residents to participate and watch for more information about each event.
