Board approves 2025–26 LCAP; trustees ask for three-year CAASPP trend slide

The Lammersville Joint Unified School District board voted unanimously June 18 to approve the 2025–26 Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP) following a presentation by Assistant Superintendent Sharp.
"So yes, this is our 02/2026 local control accountability plan. It is a 3 year plan; we are in year 2 of the 3 year plan," Sharp told the board and summarized the plan's three priority categories: conditions of learning, engagement, and pupil outcomes. Sharp said the LCAP retains goals to close opportunity gaps, strengthen instruction and curriculum efficacy, and improve 21st-century outcomes, noting budget-to-actual variances tied to safety encumbrances and special-education transportation costs.
Trustees asked staff to include a clearer trend comparison when new CAASPP results are available. Trustee Benita Daniel requested a side-by-side or trend-line visual to show prior years alongside the latest numbers so the board and public can see progress. "If we could have that data side by side... that'll be great," Daniel said. Assistant Superintendent Sharp agreed to add comparative slides in August when the new scores are published.
Trustee Stephanie Olson moved to approve the 2025–26 LCAP and Trustee David Pambo seconded; the motion carried 5–0.
