O’Brien said the Treasurer will monitor municipalities and report if funds need to be recalled or reallocated to ensure full use before the federal deadline; he reported approximately $1.9 million remains to be spent.
The board approved a motion to disburse $11,701.75 to Clifton, Larson, Allen, LLP for administrative support related to ARPA. Commissioner Jared L. Valanzola moved the disbursement; Commissioner Gregory M. Hanley seconded. The vote was recorded as Hanley-Yes, Valanzola-Yes, Chair Sandra M. Wright-Yes.
O’Brien emphasized no funds will be returned to the U.S. Treasury and that the Treasurer’s office will continue follow-up with towns that expect to complete spending by September 30, 2026.
