Mary, a resident, urged the board to consider off‑site alternatives for buses or athletic facilities and raised practical concerns: “I personally, I don't think throwing bricks in the slough is gonna control the mosquito population as good as I would like to see,” she said, adding that water management and parking would be ongoing issues. She suggested the board consider options that would avoid placing fields adjacent to houses.
Board members did not take a formal vote on site selection at this meeting; staff said they would follow up with the preliminary wetland report and make it available to the board.
