Planning Committee approves 10 resolutions including FLLOWPA funding transfer, MXI contract extension, HHW grant applications and several Parks authorizations

At its Dec. 4 meeting the Cayuga County Planning Committee approved resolutions 12‑25‑PL‑1 through 12‑25‑PL‑10 (motions generally by Tom Winslow and seconds by Elane Daly), covering transfer of FLLOWPA funds, a one‑year extension with MXI Environmental, HHW grant filings, ZEV grant submission, Parks donations and capital authorizations, and purchases/installation actions for Emerson Park facilities.
The Planning Committee approved a slate of ten resolutions during the Dec. 4 meeting. Key approvals included: 12‑25‑PL‑1 authorizing contract execution with Oswego County Soil and Water Conservation District to transfer NYSDEC FLLOWPA funding to Cayuga County; 12‑25‑PL‑2 authorizing a one‑year extension of the service agreement with MXI Environmental, LLC; and 12‑25‑PL‑3 authorizing filing of applications and signing associated state contracts for the Household Hazardous Waste State Assistance Program (motion by Daly, second by Winslow; all in favor).
Other approvals included authorization to submit a Municipal Zero‑Emission Vehicle infrastructure grant application to NYS DEC (12‑25‑PL‑4), Parks‑related authorizations to designate an authorized representative and grant match for EPG 2284 (12‑25‑PL‑5), acceptance of a donation for Sterling Nature Center capital improvements (12‑25‑PL‑6), authorization to replace Emerson Park pavilion lighting (12‑25‑PL‑7), fund transfers to a reserve account (12‑25‑PL‑8), installation of hardware on Emerson Park pavilion emergency exit doors (12‑25‑PL‑9), and purchase of a salter for Parks and Trails (12‑25‑PL‑10). Motions were recorded as moved by Tom Winslow with seconds by Elane Daly (or as otherwise noted) and recorded as 'all in favor.' The committee adjourned at 5:06 p.m. (motion by Winslow, second by Daly).
The appointment of Kimberly Schulze to the Cayuga County Parks Commission for an unexpired term (1/1/26–12/31/26) was included in the meeting minutes and recorded as approved earlier in the session.
