During the Jan. 2 organizational meeting, the Legislature designated leadership posts for 2026. Daly moved to nominate Amy Sargent as Majority Leader, seconded by Muldrow; that nomination was approved. Shea moved to nominate Strong as Minority Leader, seconded by Winslow; that nomination was approved.
Winslow was confirmed as Vice Chair by motion of Strong (second Shea). Hon. Thomas G. Leone administered the appropriate oaths following the nominations. The votes were recorded as carried by the Clerk during the reorganization meeting.
