Jackson County awards courthouse revitalization paving contracts to All Star Paving

Building Commissioner Conner Barnette told commissioners that bids for the courthouse square revitalization were reviewed and, after county attorney Susan Bevers' review, All Star Paving was the successful bidder on the three project components.
Commissioner Drew Storey moved to approve All Star Paving bids of $50,300; $40,930; and $118,519.50. Commissioner Matt Reedy seconded the motion and the board approved the awards by a 3-0 vote. Barnette said the work will be funded from the bond issued for the revitalization project.
Commissioners also confirmed the interlocal agreement with the Town of Brownstown, under which the Brownstown Redevelopment Commission agreed to allocate $100,000 toward paving costs; the county will reconcile payments with All Star after the project is complete.
