County approves transfer of east parcel to Chamber Foundation pending attorney review

Robison said the east parcel had been transferred to the county after a Foundation purchase and proposed transferring that parcel back to the Jackson County Chamber Foundation to support continued development of entrepreneur space.
County Attorney Susan Bevers told commissioners she must review the proposed memorandum of understanding to ensure the transfer complies with the statutory requirements for disposition of real property to a nonprofit and that the property's future uses align with the statute's purposes. Commissioner Matt Reedy moved to approve the transfer pending Bevers' review and Commissioner Storey amended the motion to authorize Commissioner Drew Markel to execute the MOU; the board approved the amended motion unanimously.
