The Allen County Board of Commissioners approved REZ-2025-0058 on Feb. 13, 2026, to rezone 39.54 acres from A1 (agricultural) to R1 (single-family residential) for development of a 126-lot subdivision on Lower Huntington Road in Lafayette Township.
Karen Couture, an Allen County Department of Planning Services planner, presented the petition from New Venture Development Corp. She said the plan hearing included one speaker who expressed concern about stormwater handling; the planning commission recommended Do Pass by a 7–0 vote. The board approved the rezoning 3–0.
The transcript does not include engineering documents, final plat approval, infrastructure timing, or specific stormwater mitigation measures; those items typically are addressed in subsequent subdivision and permitting steps not recorded in this legislative session.
