The Hall County Board of Commissioners voted to approve the minutes of its July 14 meeting and a consent agenda covering multiple department reports, grant-authority language and engineering work orders. A commissioner (S8) summarized the consent items and moved approval; the board recorded six yes votes and the motion carried.
The consent list included authority to seek informal bids under state bidding guidelines to pursue a 2026–27 scrap tire recycling grant and authorization for the public works department to electronically accept that grant if awarded. Commissioners also approved placing roads and roads-department annual reports on file, authorized the board chair to sign engineering work orders with Bowman Consulting for projects C4389, C4376 and C4561, and scheduled a public hearing for Aug. 25 at 10 a.m. on discontinuing a rural transit service if no bids are received. "Number 7a, 7b and 7c and d," the mover said when laying out the items.
The board also approved routine vendor and regular claims after separating a contested biweekly payroll item for separate consideration (see separate article on claims).
