County awarded $160,000 BOA pre‑planning grant to inventory underutilized commercial and industrial properties

Planner Nathaniel Rogers told the committee the county was awarded $160,000 for a Countywide BOA Pre‑Planning Inventory & Analysis project that will map underutilized, vacant and abandoned commercial and industrial sites (excluding the City of Auburn) and identify clusters recommended for future BOA planning and state designation. The 24‑month project began April 1 and is a 90/10 grant intended to hire a consultant for the work.
Rogers said Resolution 285‑25 authorized a contract with Fisher Associates for the project and that the contract has been submitted to the Contracts group for review; once under contract the project will advance quickly.
