The Lebanon Common Council appointed Alan Milburn to the Lebanon utilities board by voice vote July 27. Council discussion noted several recruitment attempts before reaching Milburn, who previously served on the utilities board for 28 years and had also served as board chair.
Council member Mike Kincaid made the motion to appoint Alan Milburn; the motion was seconded and approved by voice vote. Milburn addressed the council, thanked members for the appointment and said he was "looking forward to a second tour" and to supporting Lebanon utilities and the city’s citizens during needed repairs and work.
The council recorded no opposition during the voice vote. Milburn’s appointment fills a board vacancy and the utilities board expects to integrate him into upcoming board work.
