The Village of Fairport board approved multiple reserve-based resolutions and a new capital project to address timing and emergency repairs in the capital plan. Trustees authorized additional expenditures from the general capital reserve to cover sidewalks, signage overages and emergency storm sewer repairs and separately approved using the fire equipment reserve to pay SERVPRO for remediation work at Station 1 that occurred before year end.
The board also established a capital project titled “storm sewer drainage main replacement” with a $50,000 budget to cover expected summer work; staff said the likely cost estimate was about $35,000 but that $50,000 was set conservatively to avoid returning to the board for a second transfer. All of the motions were approved by unanimous voice vote during the meeting.
