Board confirms five hires and a classroom aide; most leadership positions effective July 1

After a closed-session meeting from 4:45 p.m. to 5:12 p.m., the Kingsburg Joint Union High School District Board approved several personnel actions. Mr. Thomsen moved and Mr. Jackson seconded approval of Heather Wilson as Executive Director of Student Services effective July 1, 2025 (M219-2425); the motion carried 4–0 with Mr. Serpa absent.
The board also approved Michelle Warkentin as Director of Human Resources (M220-2425), Ivan Nunez as Kingsburg High School Principal (M221-2425), and Jessica Wilkens as Kingsburg High School Assistant Principal (M222-2425), each effective July 1, 2025. Finally, the board approved Jeannette Elrod as a classroom aide beginning March 24, 2025 (M223-2425). Superintendent Dr. Ryan Phelan had previewed these pending approvals during his earlier remarks and thanked staff for their service.
