VROP superintendent reports 10,837 students in regional CTE program; KJUHSD enrolls 611

Fabrizio Lofaro, VROP Superintendent, told the Kingsburg Joint Union High School District Board that the regional Vocational Rehabilitation and Occupational Program (VROP) had 10,837 students enrolled in courses representing more than 14 industry sectors, and that 611 of those students are enrolled through Kingsburg Joint Union High School District.
Lofaro outlined several new resources available to KJUHSD students through recent grants and program updates: a new livestock trailer purchased with CTEIG funds, a new CTE van, an Intro to Graphic & Product Design course, a heavy equipment simulator, and upgrades to the district's CNA course including new hospital furniture. He also described the JumpStart program that offers paid summer and winter bridge experiences for students entering CTE pathways.
District leaders thanked VROP for its support of local CTE teachers and students. The board received the report as part of the regular meeting packet; the VROP report and related documents are on file with the district.
