Treasurer: office earns regional top score; tax statements mailed

Treasurer Rachel Ware recognized her staff for earning first place in the region with a 99% score on the Kansas Department of Revenue quality assurance review of scanned title transactions. "This is an audit of documents that are scanned in and sent to the State for all the title transactions done in the office," the minutes record.
Ware said tax statements were mailed Thursday and that computer installation began in the clerk's office; she also said the office is waiting on deeds for the upcoming tax sale. The report was delivered as part of department updates during the Nov. 24 meeting.
