Royal City’s council voted to authorize Mayor Michael Christensen to sign a customer service contract with Grant County PUD to underground overhead electrical lines in the city park under Work Order 224506 for $53,881.00. Carpenter recommended fencing the manhole and pump area while the soccer field is fenced, noting the irrigation pump and controls have arrived and the manhole is installed. The council discussion focused on coordinating the undergrounding work with ongoing park irrigation and field improvements to minimize repeated disturbance of recent installations.
