County sees no environmental barriers at 1285 Evergreen; Community Development announces library reception and possible SEED grant funds

Diane Cucar of Community Development told the commissioners that she and environmental specialists reviewed the property at 1285 Evergreen in Moline and "did not see anything that would be a hazard or anything that would stop the county from going forward with the site certification." The report indicates the county can proceed with site certification work without environmental barriers identified in that review.
Cucar also announced a reception for libraries on Monday, Nov. 10 at 12:30 p.m. at the courthouse and said the E-Community may run workshops on marketing for businesses. She added that there is a possibility of obtaining additional SEED grant money from ROZ. No formal action or funding commitment was recorded for the real estate or SEED items at the meeting.
