The Department of Social Services received committee approval for several administrative and budget items on Feb. 24. B. Dennis was authorized overnight travel to attend the NYPWA Commissioners’ Meeting in Albany on April 22–23, 2026; the transcript records the county cost as $155.00.
The committee approved a 2026 appropriation of $10,885 to Special Projects for the Family Centered Case Management Services allocation, with the motion carried (Merrill moved; Ayes:6). The committee also approved a request to amend Resolution No. 25-414 to extend the end date for two Director of Programs (per diem at $41.08 per hour) positions to May 9, 2026 (extending the positions from six months to ten months) and approved a $25,540.95 appropriation to Motor Vehicles to reappropriate funds for a Trailblazer vehicle delayed from an August 18, 2025 award; DSS reported negotiations with the dealership that resulted in a discount due to the extended delivery date.
