Clay County approves $1,893.53 repair for Medic 4 after deer strike

EMS Director Alec Trembath told the board the department is on run 323 this year compared with run 326 at the same time last year. He presented two repair bids for the damaged headlight housing: Wilder Auto Body for $1,893.53 and Perfection Auto Body for $1,970.05. Commissioner Mayo moved to accept the Wilder Auto Body quote; Commissioner Carlson seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
Trembath also described an in-progress Kansas Pre-Vet Protocol that he is drafting with a local veterinary clinic and presented one painting bid for an outdoor shipping container; the board tabled painting until a second bid is obtained. Trembath reminded commissioners of an upcoming pediatric symposium in Wichita.
